Amanda grew up in the St. Louis area before moving to the small town of Centralia, MO, where she graduated high school in 2001. In 2004, she graduated cum laude with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Justice Systems from Truman State University. She obtained her Master’s of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Columbia College in 2005, where she graduated with a 4.0 GPA.

In 2008, Amanda graduated with honors from the University of Missouri-Columbia, where she earned her Juris Doctorate. While in law school, she received a CALI award for Excellence in Professional Responsibility. She also received a Public Service Award for her work with Mid-Missouri Legal Services and domestic violence victims. In addition, she was on the National Dean’s List; was a pupilage member of the Elwood L. Thomas Inn of Court; served as Marshal of Phi Alpha Delta and Vice President of the Federalist Society; wrote for the Missouri Environmental Law and Policy Review; worked as a research assistant in the law school’s family law department; won first place in the regional arbitration competition; and was named a top 10 oral advocate from her graduating class.

Since 2008, Amanda has practiced law in the Springfield area, having focused in Social Security, Workers’ Compensation, Insurance Defense, Litigation, Real Estate and Property Law, Probate, Elder Law, and Estate Planning. During her years of practice, she has gained invaluable experience in the courtroom, having presented numerous cases in state and federal court. She has also been recognized for her federal work, earning a Regional Commissioner’s Citation, a Regional Chief Judge Citation, a Commendable Service Award, a Recognition of Contribution Performance Award, and an Exemplary Contribution or Service Award.

In addition to practicing law, Amanda is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA). She also serves on the Advocacy Committee of the Missouri Chapter of NAELA. Additionally, Amanda serves on the Judicare Panel and Volunteer Lawyer Panel with Legal Services of Southern Missouri and volunteers as a Court Appointed Special Advocate with CASA of Southwest Missouri. Amanda is also involved with the Missouri Bar Association, Springfield Metropolitan Bar Association, Southern Missouri Women Lawyer’s Association, Nixa Chamber of Commerce, and is a member of the Bigger Net Income chapter of Business Network International (BNI).

In her free time, Amanda enjoys warm weather, sunshine, and long walks. She has also been blessed with four active children with whom she spends as much time as possible.
